Prototype Development Fund: MUSE3
During 2008-2009 we will be funding new projects under MUSE3's Prototype Development Program (PDP). The PDP will fund Canadian community or public space based projects that showcase the capabilities of the MUSE3 mobile services platform (streaming video to and from mobiles, mobile VJing, interactive public displays, social media aggregation to and from mobile phones, and location based services). We are seeking experimental work that can increase the profile of Mobile Muse nationally and internationally and help establish its reputation as a world class platform for publicly inspired and engaged media art. All projects must involve the MUSE3 platform and must take place in an event-based forum before March 2009. We hope to fund a large number of projects within a total budget of approximately $70,000.
To apply, write a letter stating the idea, a concise user scenario, the timeframe for development and presentation, preliminary budget, names of partners and collaborators, background information, and relevant URLs.
